This is beautiful, I was wondering: which culture's did you research for this piece? I'm interested in doing some character design of my own

Hi Mimi,
I pretty much just looked at standard indian dress, she's wearing a relatively normal sari, the weapon is like I said a mix of european and indian cultures and her "armor" is just something out of my own head. She's more of a mythical being and her armor is less functional. the spaulder on her left shoulder is actually inspired by a polish hussar's armor, but it's pretty generic so I didn't really need to get specific with it.

The detail is gorgeous (I hadn't known till a voulge was till just now), from the unusual wrapping on the sari to the cross between ceremonial jewelry and armor, but what caught my eye is her expression. The iron resolve, with just a tinge of resignation, perhaps even sadness...a rather atypical warrior portrayal, but much more what I think they must actually look like when contemplating battle.
