Excellent cover -- it does it's job fantastically(I want to read it!) and is the sort I imagine I'd keep flipping back to while reading and letting the imagination flow.

Most of the time when you see a figure I shot reference for it, man or woman. Most of the time it's to fix quirks in a pose, the vast majority of the time it's just me in a t-shirt with improper lighting so it doesn't help with the costume. For this one I set myself over my desk lamp in a long-sleeved shirt which helped for the folds and the lighting on the face, but I had to use the likeness of someone else for the face which was hard since there were no pictures of her looking down (or not smiling)

I don't bother to shoot reference if the subject is small or not the focus of the image and I don't always end up using what i shoot but it really helps when I do.
